Terrain Navigator Pro
I have a copy of Terrain Navigator Pro. I have been using it for years. BUT it is a 32 bit copy.
This machine is a 64 bit machine. It won’t load it.
I went looking for a fresh copy of it. And, Trimble has took it over.
And, it costs 400.How are the rest of you doing this? Is this the best thing to do? I have not turned a profitable lick in over 2 wks. It is starting to get to me. I’m usgs dependent.

We download our maps directly from usgs. The newer pdf files have layer control so you can shut off the grid lines and border if needed.

I am installing software into a 64 bit system…and there is a load of malware, and scams, associated with drivers, and stuff. EVERYBODY wants in my computer, and snoop, and watch my keystrokes, and squat here, and mess me up. May they rest in a deep bog!
I am sort of scared to snoop too hard, for a site to download from. What site did you get them from, if you don’t mind my asking.N

I download from the usgs store. You want to click on the map locator and Downloader link. It’s a safe site. I’m on my phone or I’d post a link. I tried but it’s not working correctly. Also, downloading works best for me with Internet Explorer rather than Google chrome.

TNP will install.
I have it installed on a Windows 8 tablet which is only 32 bit. Let me know what error you are getting at install.

It will install on a 32 bit system. I want to install it on a 64 bit system.

I also have it installed on all of my 64 bit machines.

I could not get it to install either nate with 64 bit computer. I use the USGS website as others have stated.

Nate, lost the HD on my TNP computer about 16 months after I bought a new copy. Trimble would not help me transfer to another computer, must buy a whole new copy. I starting using google earth pro.

If you have a smart phone or tablet you can download Avenza PDf for a couple bucks and use that program to download the USGS quads as Geo PDF’s, and see your position on the quad.
You can measure distances, areas, store waypoints, ect. You can even import a KML file representing your traverse or property boundary.
