SurvCE is driving me up a wall…
I have been really getting down in the weeds, attempting to learn exactly what the raw data in .rw5 files mean.
Currently, I’m trying to connect what happens in the first “Set Collection” screen:And the “Backsight” screen:
I believe that when I populate the first with both an OC point, and BS Point, and choose “Set Angle and Read”, I get something like this:
SP,PN2,N 428317.2010,E 1618591.5090,EL999.0000,–
SP,PN500,N 428158.2660,E 1618337.8880,EL1032.3300,–
–Set Collection with Obs Order 123…321…
OC,OP500,N 428158.26600,E 1618337.88800,EL1032.330,–
LS,HI3.7800,HR5.6000
BK,OP500,BP2,BS57.5534,BC0.0000
LS,HI3.7800,HR5.6000The first line after the –Set Collection… The OC line, shows the OP500 parameters.
But I’ve come across a file that starts out like this:
SP,PN500,N 428158.2660,E 1618337.8880,EL1032.3300,–
–Set Collection with Obs Order 123…321…
LS,HI5.2000,HR0.0000
BK,OP900,BP500,BS75.1052,BC0.0000
LS,HI5.2000,HR0.0000There’s only one SP record and NO OP record at all. At first I thought it was because I was using the “Set Angle”, rather than “Set Angle and Read” (see the HR0.0000 in the LS record), but that makes no sense, because I always populate the OP and BS lines in the Set Collection screen.
How is it possible to produce what looks like the second file…with NO OC record?
