Streamlining tips Carlson Survey w/IntelliCAD

Being a brand new user of Carlson Survey with IntelliCAD software,
I was wondering if other board members could offer any helpful tips.

Two things that would sure help me would be…

A line/key command for turning ESNAP on and off.
When labeling, I am constantly doing this, so that labels go where I move them.

Also, is there a quick dimension labeling function
that can give me labeled distances between points that are not connected by a line?

Coming from 10 year old AutoCAD, I recall labeling falling distances
to stored shots on lath on line.

The F3 key toggles object snaps in Autocad, doesn’t it do that in Intellicad as well?

You can use the dis_ or bdis command to label a distance only on a line.

Go to ANNOTATE
chose ANGLE/DISTANCE

find the one you want to use, I’ll use BEARING DISTANCE

it prompts you for a line OR P (for points) that will give you what you want.

(This is ACAD embedded I hope it’s similar for you)

Keyboard shortcuts can make your work go much faster. You can use the default keyboard shortcuts and create your own.
