Speaking of Conflicts of interest
When I was young, I would hunt and fish with my grandfather. He had lots of connections with ranchers since his shop shared back rooms with the local “Long Branch Saloon” and he would “help’ out by holding bets and,,,,,,,well, maybe he was a bit of the town bookie.
Anyway, if he wanted to go fishing or hunting everyone would be glad to let us.
So, there are two ranches more or less split by a creek, west of the creek we would deer hunt, east of the creek we would fish in these reservoirs which had huge trout.
Fast forward to today.
I have about 2200 accounts, I’ve been doing business with each ranch since about the beginning of my surveying career. One account is 24 the other is 59. The last few years account 24 has been active,,,,family changes. Account 59 became a bit unhappy and stopped by last week.
The dreaded words were spoken,,,,,,,,,those AP words.
I looked at the rancher and had to say,,,,,,Wait!!!!
Can’t you work something out, I came up with what I think is a solution.
Maybe!!!
Now I have attorneys calling me, talk about uncomfortable.
Fingers crossed that it’s going to work out next week and all the bad stuff will be avoided.
If it doesn’t, I’m sending them all to different surveyors, they can have all my info.
