RE: Truck Boxes
@jon-payne Well you are correct. The 3/4 and 1 tons are nit easily accessible. I have two kids to fetch my barbed wire and other things. It??s sad when i know i have to climb i to the bed and I have to take a moment just to motivate myself to do the climb. I think a 1/2 ton in most cases for surveying is plenty. I am with you. Let a truck be a truck again. I don??t need carpet or any other fancy gadget. I need it to withstand cow pies kids dogs chainsaws a calf and whatever else I throw in it. If i had to turn my 350 into a survey vehicle i would have some type of slide for sure. We have rams and chevy 3/4 tons it almost killed me climbing up i to it to get to supplies. Luckily i don??t go to the field much now but when i do I bring a bucket lol. I think a service style body modified for surveying equipment would be nice. Kinda take that highway products survey pack and place it on a chassis. Every thing low and easy to reach. I guess if I ever did start my own survey shop i would have to do something.
