@olemanriver Yeah. The 3/4 and 1 tons seem to still be reasonably available w/ 8′ bed. And it’s possible that the 1/2 tons still are on dealer lots as an 8′ configuration. I just never see them.
I like a mid-size to work out of as I can then reach the entire bed easily. Every once in a while, I’ll see a Nissan crew cab mid-size with a 6′ bed (as compared to the standard 5.5′ on the crew cabs).
It just seems that the bed of the truck is becoming less of an important point to a lot of buyers. In which case, I wish those folks would stick with an SUV so that truck prices and available configurations would remain at least slightly truck like.
