My Cell Phone Photo dump …
I just dumped my cell phone to my PC … these are a few of the more interesting photos. Not quite Daryl Moistner quality, but some fun pics.
Pincushions!
This one is good. Not only is there a tack at the edge of the disk, but notice the hole in the disk. There is what I think is a nail shaft protruding from that hole, where I believe another surveyor drove a masonry nail through the disk, then the head broke off. And to top it off, it’s a “PCP”, which in Florida means it’s an original monument set by the original surveyor.
Both of these rods have the same surveyor’s number on them … and no, there was not a 1 foot line segment in this area.
This an alligator I took through the scope.
When my truck broke down, I loaded my equipment into my wife’s Prius to get it home from the shop. I never worked out of the Prius, but I think I could organize it better and do it if I have to do.
This was weird. I surveyed this foreclosed house and there were dozens of large MAG nails driven into the walls. Looked like they driven to hang X-man decorations. I wondered if it was a surveyor or party chief that used to live there. I didn’t recognize the name on the previous deed.
Complete with my thumb, this is a photo of an fence encroachment (or an example of the need to correct the deed for those of you in Wisconsin :)) These are 50′ wide canal front lots, and this fence occupies about 1/3 of the vacant lot to the left I was surveying. The encroaching owner kept peeking at me out the windows, but never came down to talk.
And last but not least, a sign that speaks for itself.
