Virginia Lee Burton the author of one of my favorite books. Mike Mulligan and His Steam Shovel (Marianne). All new members to my extended family and friends who reach the age of three, receive that as a gift from me.

@daniel-ralph I was just thinking that the artwork reminded me of that book (Mike Mulligan)! We have a copy, but my kids didn’t glom onto it–not even the one mad about any device-with-wheels. ???
I’m just one of those evil GIS people. Bwah-hah-hah! Seriously, I do coordinate systems and transformations at Esri. -
I think that book might be on our shelf- not sure because it wasn??t a FAVORITE like Harry the Dirty Dog-

A favorite we found had the title Everybody Poops. A classic. Created for potty training reading.
