Here’s a surveying job I wouldn’t want.

Looks like they are all Chiefs and no Indians to get the mess cleaned up.

Just To Keep Things In Perspective
This is a current accident, happened about three hours ago in Missouri.
There are over 40 injured, most of them high school students, and two people are dead.
If it was my daughter, I wouldn’t care HOW MANY people showed up, as long as they showed up to help.
I’d like the whole force of local and state police and EMT’s out there, Erik Estrada included, if he had anything to offer.

If I encountered something like this you bet I’d be out there doing whatever I could to help.

Just To Keep Things In Perspective
You see what happens when you hire a couple of girls from Hooters to run your field operations?;-)

That was a truly sad event yesterday. Two young people lost their lives over what appears to be a very preventable accident. I’ve been to Six Flags over Mid America and I-44 is a pretty high speed and heavily traveled freeway.
And near a construction zone where the first tractor trailer had slowed.
We have a ton of construction on I-44 on the east side of town. Traffic is diverted into one lane and it often backs up for a mile or more. There is always someone that wants to hot rod up the side or in the closed lane and they attempt to pull back into line at the last minute. Just waiting for a similar incident in our town.
I’m not pointing fingers as this was a tragedy for all those involved. Both in the accident and those families with young people involved.

I have noticed people are impatient by their nature. I see the closing lane abuse happen all the time and gawd forbid someone should bring it down below Mach 2 for someone standing on the side of the road.
