Guide: Setup Sokkia GSR2700ISX w/internal GSM/GPRS modem as Mobile Reference Station
Hi,
I recently managed to configure a Sokkia GSR2700ISX to run as mobile base station and broadcast the corrections to my own NTRIP Caster using Lefebure’s software.
This guide is only for Sokkia GSR2700ISX with internal GSM/GPRS modem using SDR+ Professional. Unfortunately the Carlson SurvCE does not have this option to configure the receiver as a Ntrip server.
So let’s begin.
Step 1. Run Lefebure Ntrip Caster at your home/office pc. Make sure you forward the port 5000 in your router settings.
Step 2. At Mountpoints page make at least one mountpoint with password. The other fields are optional.
Step 3. Run SDR+ Pro in your PDA and configure the GSR2700ISX as NTRIP Base (Source) with internal GPRS cell.
In service settings:
Caster address: the public ip of the home/office pc (if you don’t have static ip you can subscribe to no-ip or other dns service)
Port number: 5000
Mount Point: sokkia(the mount point you made in step 2)
Password: 1234 (or other password you specified in step 2)
Click Finish.
Step 5. Create a New Job and select RTK Base Setup.
Give the apropriate settings (receiver position from known point or average, broadcast id, broadcast rate, glonass etc.)
After you finish the receiver will connect to your home/office Lefebure Ntrip Caster and the pc will start to broadcast the corrections.
Then you can connect any rover to the home/office caster with the user information and ip address.Voila you have a mobile reference station set at any place as long as cell coverage is adequate!
This solution is a free version of the Sokkia’s MRS solution in which you must have a dedicated server running special software and also having the RSX reference station.
I have not done extensive testing but it works for now.
If anyone needs more information send pm.Some links that helped me achieve the above:
