Digital Camera with GPS synchronized time
I have a Panasonic Lumix camera. It has GPS on board to geo-tag photos. But, it does not have the functionality to set the clock with GPS, I have to manually set it. It drifts a bit, not much but it does drift. I wrote a program to automatically rename the pictures I take of photo control points by matching the occupation time of the GPS with the time of the picture. Works very well, but if it drifts too far it will start missing and I have to manually rename the pics
Does anyone know of a digital camera with GPS that will use the GPS to maintain the clock accurately sync’d? Obviously the GPS occupations are accurately time tagged.

Looks like a great product, but I don’t have a Sony camera. After I posted I connected my current camera to my smartphone and ran the Lumix app (android). It had a sync time function, but didn’t appear to do anything.

Does “geo-tag” refer to text embedded on the actual image visual – right-click on image to get to “properties” could possibly yield a different time stamp, and maybe something more in the “details” tab.

EXIF info is where the time, position, settings, etc are stored for each photo (inside the jpg).

The Fujifilm XP with GPS has to be set for time every time I turn it on. It is water, dust, shock and freeze proof.
The Nikon Coolpix AW100 appears to keep time very well, every time I check it is correct. It is waterproof and shockproof.
The Compass Pro app on my S5 phone gets most of picture taking done for me these days and it has the same time stamp as the phone.
