Coordinate Question in CAD
I received a .dwg from a client. It contains a centerline they need staked out. They also sent a .txt with control points. When I open the .dwg I see the centerline with stationing. I created a .crd, brought in the .txt control, and drew the points. The control points land in a positions that are consistent with a existing conditions survey. The control is State Plane.
I hoped I could create points using the centerline and stationing they sent over. When I snap on the cl to create a point the point that is created is something like N 4000 E 24000 nothing close to State Plane.
Why is this happening. Why did the control come in correctly if the line work is no where near it?
Any help would be great. I have Carlson 2015 intellicad.
Thanks!
