Converting KML to SHP
Hey guys I’m trying to convert a KML file to a SHP file and apparently I’m doing it wrong. I was using a website called kml2shp but every time I try to import the shp file it doesn’t work. Can someone please explain to me how to convert a kml file from google earth to a shp file and import it into my Carlson drawing?

Try KMLtoDXF
DDSMQuantum GIS (free, open source) will probably do it.
Maybe also GPSBabel
