Connecticut LS exam
Posted by MJP-PLS on December 14, 2015 at 2:22 pmLooking for information on the 2 hour state specific portion of LS exam for Connecticut. Does anyone have first hand knowledge on this portion of exam. Also looking for study/reference material for test.

I took it 7 years ago. Don’t remember much, except that it was fairly straight-forward, no trick type questions. And that Hartford is a pit.
I used the links on the Board website to download the rules and laws. Also picked up copies of Standards for Surveys and Maps in the State of Connecticut, and Statutes and Case Law Pertaining to Land Surveying in Connecticut, by Don Wilson.

You must have these two books. Standards for surveys is free and Statutes is 40$ from CALS. Out of the 40 questions on the test, I needed it for about 5 questions, but I am from Connecticut. We are a common law state like NY, so I am sure you will do fine. Good luck!
