I have a call into the township office, but no return call yet.thanks

I usually do a google search or go to the county/city website and use the search feature on their page.

Contact the city/county engineer’s office and/or the zoning office and/or the emergency preparedness office. If none of them know, there probably isn’t one.

I think by FEMA’s regulation if a city/county is part of the NFIP, then they have to have a flood plain manager.

If the community has a floodplain ordinance, you will usually find the manager defined within it.

You should probably start with the County Floodplain Official and work your way from there. If you can’t find the County official, go to your State Contact listed here:
