Carlson Survey 2010 volumes within an area
In the Carlson Survey 2010, surfaces module, I’m finding the volume and area determined by an inclusive polyline unreliable. It could easily be something I’m doing as I’ve only just started using it. Quite often the area reported on the closed polyline I use to determine the volume between two surfaces is clearly incorrect and the volume is bad too. When I draw another polyline that includes the same area with different vertices it seems much closer. So, I’m puzzled, what is the difference between one polyline and not another that can give radically different results? Anyone else experienced this? I find too that sometimes you can explode the polyline, rejoin and close it and it will report accurately. Maybe it’s a cad issue but it’s puzzling.
Thanks in advance ..
