Black Hills Monument Recoveries
Some cool monuments from the trip to the Black Hills that Dave Ingram and Kurt Luebke joined me on last September. I finally got these webpages made. There are some rare monuments such as the Wind Cave monuments. Only 31 were ever placed. We recovered three and did not find three others. Also a few more rare USGS township corners from the late 1890’s. Credit to Dave for having climbed a very steep mountain to get to one of these. Luckily we were rewarded with finding the monument.
